Certifications and Tests

Health Tests

  • Dermatologically Tested: Tested by Center for Cruelty Free Testing Labs as per BIS 4011 guidelines and were found to be a non-irritant.
  • Tested for Phthalates: Tested by SITRA (South Indian Textile Research Association) using IS 9873 standards and phthalates were not detected.
  • Bacterial and Fungal Count (Bioburden): Tested by SITRA. The pads showed absence of bacterial growth after 24 hours of incubation and fungal growth after 7 days of incubation when tested according to ISO 11737-Part 1.
  • Microbiological Safety (TSS bacteria) - Staphylococcus aureus: Tested by SITRA. The sample showed <1 in Bairds parker agar medium indicates the absence of Staphylococcus aureus when tested according to IS 5887 Part 2.
  • pH test: Tested by SITRA, pH of 6.59 (within normal acceptable range) as per IS 1390 (Cold Method).

Environment Tests

  • Soil Burial: Tested by SITRA. Degradation in 120 days
  • Anaerobic Degradation (Landfill conditions): Tested by ERRL. Degrades within 8 months, ISO-15985:2014.
  • Aerobic Degradation (Industrial composting conditions): Tested by ERRL. Degrades within 6 months, ISO-17088:2021
  • Eco-toxicity: Tested by ERRL. No adverse effects of compost on terrestrial organisms IS/ISO 17008:2021.
